Hi! My name is Sprite. I'm a fairy. I used to live in the Otherworld. That's a special place where pixies live. The Otherworld is ruled by Queen Mab, the queen of the Fairies.

One day, fourteen pixies escaped from the Otherworld into the human world. Queen Mab sent me into the human world to find them. That's because I'm a Royal Pixie Tricker. It's my job to find the escaped pixies and trick them so they will be sent back to the Otherworld. I have to find them fast, because these pixies are real troublemakers.

When I entered the human world, I met a little girl named Violet. She agreed to help me find the escaped pixies. That's a good thing, because I'm pretty new at this pixie tricking thing. I need all the help I can get! Author Tracey West is writing about our adventures in a new series from Scholastic called Pixie Tricks. The first two books were published in May 2000. Then there will be a book every other month. Each book has cool stickers you can collect.
